FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Coaching and leadership development can have a powerful, positive impact on your company. Get started today.
Developing your leaders is one of the most important things a business owner can do. So it’s natural to have a few questions about what you’re getting when you work with us.
Development programs don’t have to be a hassle. Not if they’re designed right and they account for your need to pay attention to your day-to-day business.
The Ready2Lead program has been designed specifically to deliver high impact with minimal disruption. We deliver the material in 2-hour modules, under specific themes.
It also involves “homework” that allows people to put into practice what they’ve learned right away, and reflect on their progress. The homework centers on things they have to deal with every day in the business—as opposed to something that is theoretical or that doesn’t impact what they’re already doing.
Your team will never face the dreaded freshman algebra question: “When am I ever going to use this?”
When you put what you’re learning into practice with problems you’re already facing, it’s much more inspiring.
How Adults Learn
You can expect your people to emerge from the program with:
- more confidence in their ability to lead their teams own abilities
- a great capacity to deal with challenges and enhance the performance of their teams
- less sense of overwhelm
- teams that are more engaged and ready to perform at a higher level
You, as a business executive, will be able to lean more into your team to accomplish things; you’ll feel more confidence in the future and build a stronger bench.
You’ll be able to land new projects and customers consistently because your team is firing on all cylinders.
Not to mention, your team will be much happier and more engaged, while at the same time delivering better results for your overall business.
Before getting to money, we’d want to have a conversation about your situation and your needs so we can provide a specific financial proposal. There are a few variables here: among them, how many people participate in the program, and whether we deliver the sessions in person or via video chat.
As you’d expect, in-person comes in higher than video chat.
Our minimum group size is 4, and our maximum is 12. Keeping the groups small allows for better participation, as well as your coach getting to better know each individual.
All of that being said, the cost per person is significantly less than sending them to a traditional management conference—especially when you add in travel and hotels and meals.
The investment will be more similar to traditional 2-3 day in-person professional development. But we think it can be more effective because people are able to apply their learning immediately and come back to the group and reflect on it.
There’s also zero cost in terms of disruption. You get to go through the program in your own space. With only a couple hours of meeting time per week, people aren’t out of the office and don’t get behind on their day-to-day responsibilities.
So, to get started, let’s schedule a conversation about your needs and how we can help. We will quickly provide a specific proposal and answer your questions. Then we can get to the real work of building up your leadership bench.
The Ready2Lead program is designed to help leaders step into a more authentic, more effective and confident version of themselves. It’s not about taking on some ‘guru-style’ of leadership; instead it’s about leveraging your own strengths, your own unique brilliance to serve your team and the organization.
We help people become more authentic and inspiring leaders through a combination of well-researched and tested leadership principles along with real-life practice. That’s followed by reflection facilitated by an experienced and credentialed leadership coach that cements what they’ve just learned.
We are able to draw from a variety of well-regarded sources and align the content around the issues which come up most frequently among small-business leaders. And because of our small cohorts and weekly approach to delivery, participants are able to put what they’ve learned into practice on the very same day.
Finally, we focus on developing people’s strengths in their leadership, rather than trying to fix something that’s broken. This empowers people to show up authentically and build more trusting, empowering relationships with their teams.
Most importantly, you can look at this as leadership development rather than “management training.” Most “management” training programs deal with very specific topics like calendar management, software education, and productivity tools.
The R2L program, by contrast, leverages everyone’s innate talents and gifts, and helps them become an authentic, inspiring leader. Our goal is to have people become more confident and effective in their leadership—and translate that into better performance.
To put it another way: you can learn how to use one tool effectively, or you can learn how to lead through difficult, challenging situations and opportunities that are hard to foresee right now, and set up yourself and your team for success both now and into the future.
Management training doesn’t deal with the underlying issue.
Instead, it teaches you a very precise skill. This is like putting a band-aid on your arm because it hurts, without dealing with the actual broken bone underneath. You’re still dealing with day-to-day crises brought about because your team hasn’t found a way to work together effectively.
Ready2Lead’s approach allows you to be agile, resourceful, and inspiring; to address a much broader range of issues; and help people become the contributors they really want to be. When you get these fundamentals right, you don’t need narrow-band management training any longer.
